One of the most powerful street legal motorcycles, yes we are talking about the Boss Hoss here;  launched in the market in 1993. This one geared bike was powered by Chevrolet liquid cooled, over head valve, pushrod 16 valves, 90 degree V8 engine that displaced 5735cc and produced 345 bhp at 5000 rpm. This motorcycle is really mean with high speed and extremely high power. A Chevy V8 engine is heavy and the torque produced by it is also immense. The Boss Hoss motorcycle was designed with a tubular steel frame which withstood both the weight of the engine and also the torque.

One would certainly reason that stopping such a mean machine which weighs close to 465 kg and produces 345 hp is not a simple feat and that is why brakes play an extremely important role. Twin Disc brakes in the front and a single disc brake did the job reasonably well. At a top speed of 165mph Boss Hoss bike was all about straight line speed and did lack manoeuvrability; albeit the Boss Hoss was a pleasure to ride and was a terror unleashed on the highway.
